We passed another control audit, which verified our manufacturing division in Ostrava focusing mainly on a section of special manufacturing processes.
The representative of TUV NORD Czech, s.r.o. verified requirements of EN ISO 3834, with main focus on a section of special manufacturing processes including orders for nuclear power products and nondestructive testing.
The next phase included an analysis of the qualifications of our employees and OHS.
We met all the requirements to receive a new certificate and we successfully passed yet another control audit.
At the beginning of November we passed a control audit of the quality management system
Main goal of the audit performed by a representative of TUV NORD Czech, s.r.o. was to verify the requirements of EN ISO 9001: 2015 standard. Due to the current situation, the verification of individual activities took place online between Prague and Ostrava. Thanks to thorough technical preparation, we encountered no problems. We have successfully met all requirements and we have successfully passed the audit as in previous years.
We have launched the well anticipated developing programme of active collaboration with students from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
After considering large number of potencial candidates, we have chosen 6 applicants, who were afterwards assigned to the future prospective projects. The aim of MPOWER is to raise new generation of students, who can help the company with implementing modern technologies and ideas. Therefore MPOWER will be up to date with latest trends in field of energy industry. The students will be intoduced into every specific area of development and manufacture of MPOWER products under leadership of experienced mentors. The main emphasis will be put on the projects including process automation, the company network infrastructure and new way of welding using plasma.
The Website exportniuspechy.cz have published the article about the recent successful deals of MPOWER company. The article is mainly focused on export of high-pressure valves to project in Azerbaijan
MPOWER group gathers companies focused in design, development, engineering and related services but first of all in valve manufacturing for classical and nuclear power customers. Valves are often used in chemical, petrochemical and metallurgical industries. MPOWER builds on a long-standing tradition in industrial valves production based on own advanced technical and manufacturing know-how.
In 2016 thanks to kind support of the CzechTrade Agency (Mr. Jiří Lukáš), MPOWER was awarded a contract in a public tender for supply of high-pressure valves for a project in Azerbaijan. The Czech forged gate valves and globe valves have been ordered by Azerbaijan state oil company SOCAR ”Azerikimiya” in the total volume reaching € 85,000.
In cooperation with Mr. Josef Kunicky, heading the foreign office of the Czech Trade Agency in Santiago de Chile, in 2017 MPOWER acquired a contract to supply valves in a project with COLBUN S.A., one of the leading electricity producers in Chile.
MPOWER in cooperation with Czech Trade participated in the IOGPRE Exhibition in Iran. The exhibition focuses on international projects in the petroleum industry. IOGPRE is one of the world’s leading oil and gas exploration exhibitions. Thanks to the Czech Trade agency, MPOWER has gained several contacts that can bring new significant clients to the group.
Under the auspices of the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, MPOWER attended the Central Asia Industrial Week in Tashkent in November 2017. The Uzbekistan region is one of the most promising areas for supplies of the Czech industries. In Uzbekistan MPOWER works with SYNECTA CENTRAL ASIA.

After successful negotiation with leadership of power plant PAVLODAT TEC-3 in Kazakhstan, we have delivered and installed not only shut-off valves K16 (in the photo), but also other types such as K06 and K02.
It’s a part of our bussiness strategy which strenghtness our position in the international market.
MPOWER Group won an important contract in the course of October 2015 for deliveries of industrial valves to the Russian energy market.
This is a unique contract, as the client is a major Turkish company, known as Gama Power Systems Engineering and Contracting, Inc., which implements the project in Kazan city. The project includes the design, manufacture and supply of valves according to ASME and GOST standards. Preparation for the production started at the end of 2015, and in accordance with the contract MPOWER is planning to deliver last piece of valves during spring 2016.
GAMA Company is a global EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor who is specializing in the supply of gas and steam turbines. Specific project in Kazan is a very prestigious building gas technology with ultra modern H type gas turbine. This type of turbine belongs among the newest, largest and most efficient gas turbines in the world. The overall efficiency of the source will be over 80 per cent at the moment of introduction to exploitation during 2017.
The end customer is TGK-16 group, who belongs to the Tatar-American Investment and Finance (TAIF). This project will enable MPOWER Company to strengthen its activities in Russia, and to establish itself as a perspective partner and supplier of valves for its customers in the Middle East.
One of the major projects implemented this year by MPOWER Engineering, a.s. Was the delivery of the valves for the construction of a new municipal waste incineration plant near Krakow in Poland. The investor of the event was the company Krakowski Holding Komunalny S.A., EPC contractor was South Korean company POSCO E&C, for which it is also its first project in the region. The incinerator is located in the industrial area Nowa Huta on the eastern outskirts of Krakow.
It is a modern type of equipment that is now commonly named the “devices for energy recovery” (Waste to Energy – WtE). The incinerator therefore is not used for simple disposal of municipal waste, but also to produce electricity and heat. The equipment will be able to burn waste with a capacity of nearly 700 tons per day. Planned output of the equipment is 35 MWt, or 8 MWe. The total investment amounts to approximately EUR 150 million, of which nearly 60% is covered by EU subsidies.
The company MPOWER Engineering, a.s. acts in the project as a subcontractor of part of the valves. Preparation of the project began in spring of 2014, when the MPOWER actively participated in the revision of the technical solution. Own production of valves was begun in early 2015. The goods were shipped between March and June of this year.
Delivery consists solely of the valves controlled by actuators, both electric and pneumatic. The largest delivered valves were shut-off butterfly valves type K06. These are the soft sealing butterfly valves with double eccentricity, designed by the MPOWER engineers. Part of the solution is the butterfly valves with the diameters DN150 to DN800 equipped with electric actuators AUMA or pneumatic actuators AIRTORQUE. Further, also the shut-off gate valves were supplied, as of conventional cast structure (type K03) so as forged valves (type K02), with the diameters ranging from DN65 to DN600. The gate valves are controlled exclusively by the AUMA actuators. Several actuators are equipped with a control unit that allows controlled opening / closing of the valves so as to minimize any shock in the piping, which would otherwise be caused by inertia of the media. At the customer’s request, on valve is equipped with uninterruptible power supply power supply (UPS), which ensures the specified number of cycles in case of the power failure. The rest of the delivered assortment consisted of the shut-off valves and a number of smaller ball valves. The entire assortment has been delivered according to EN standards.
These days, gradual recovery of the individual parts of the supplied equipment is being performed so as to put the entire facility into operation in the coming months.
The company MPOWER Engineering, a.s. as the annual main partner, will participate in the 10th International Conference All for Power, which will take place on November 26-27 at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague.
This year’s conference theme is again focused on the nuclear and conventional power plants in the context of the planned construction or modernization of existing sources. Conference will be accompanied by an exhibition of traditional products and services to contractors. All participants are cordially invited to visit the MPOWER stand.
